Welcome home!

 MEA Principal Michael Lee, ‘01

MEA Principal Michael Lee, ‘01

It is always a pleasure to see former students and staff come back to the Mount Ellis Academy campus. The plethora of stories that accompany the experiences you have had here over the years makes for wonderful connecting opportunities with friends, both old and new. I love meeting people and hearing those stories. Being part of the MEA family gives us a common bond where we can connect across generations.

I hope you will make the most of your time to connect and reconnect this weekend. For 116 years now, we have been telling and retelling stories, meeting new friends and catching up with old friends, exploring the campus, and discovering how things change over the years. While you are here, our campus is your campus. Thanks for making this a place worth the legacy it has come to be. You are the reason we continue to be able to provide similar experiences to each new generation.

John Winslow and his family.

John Winslow is blessed to be married to Allison Fletcher Winslow John and Allison have three lovely and lively children. John had the opportunity to graduate from MEA in 1988, Walla Walla University in 1993 with a Business degree, and then again from Walla Walla University in 2003 with a masters degree in Educational Administration. From Childhood John has simply desired to follow our Lord and Savior, Jesus. That being the case rather than going into business, as he had always thought he would, God has led and allowed him to be a Boys’ Dean, Teacher, and Principal in our Seventh Day Adventist educational system and now he serves as a Pastor in Eastern Washington. John Would say… my life has been far from perfect, but the journey with Jesus has been amazing! His prayer is that you will feel the love of Jesus in your life in a wonderful way this weekend.
