We're working on many projects in Costa Rica.
We arrived safely at Universidad Adventista de Centro America (UNADECA) on Wednesday evening after 15 hours of traveling. The school has been most welcoming, and our kids have enjoyed the wonders of a new place and new experiences.
Friday morning we got up early and met with the school administrator who shared with us the various needs of the school. We began working right away on a couple of projects. The first was prepping sites for exercise stations around campus. The second was working to rehabilitate the school's amphitheater.
Last night we went to a local orphanage where 30 girls who were at risk reside. We spent the evening singing songs and Elder Ramirez told a Bible story with the help of his good friend, Dusty.
Today, we helped to clean the church up to get ready for Sabbath. One of the many projects they have been doing is some remodeling work on the church, and the whole church was in disarray.
There are two other school groups from the States here along with us, and we are all contributing to the larger master plan of the school. Thanks for your prayers as we continue to work and as we begin a week of prayer ministry to the K-8 students.
